Art. 23

Prohibition of traffic in human beings and forced labour

Human trafficking and forced labour (including begar - making people work without pay) are completely banned. Anyone who does this commits a crime punishable by law. The only exception is compulsory service for public purposes, which must apply equally to everyone regardless of religion, race, caste, or class.

Art. 24

Prohibition of employment of children in factories, etc

No child under 14 can be employed in any factory, mine, or hazardous job. This is a direct ban - no exceptions. It exists because children deserve to learn and play, not work in dangerous conditions.
