You cannot be discriminated against because of your religion, race, caste, sex, or place of birth. This applies to shops, restaurants, wells, roads - all public places.
Government jobs must be open to everyone equally. No one can be rejected for a government position based on religion, race, caste, sex, descent, place of birth, or residence.
Untouchability is abolished. Practicing it in any form is a punishable offense. This was one of the most debated and celebrated provisions in the Assembly.
The State cannot grant titles of nobility. No citizen can accept a title from a foreign country without the President's permission.
